We’ve also made some significant enhancements to our finance and materials management system because we believe that your waste management partner should be able to report more than just the cost of your waste removal.

As our industry has become more sophisticated – expanding from straightforward waste hauling & disposal into collection and recycling of a broad range of non-hazardous materials that can be reclaimed through new recycling methods – so have the needs of our customers. In response Southern Waste has invested considerable effort in the evaluation, customization and ultimately deployment of a new invoicing and reporting solution designed to give you Enterprise Resource Planning-quality results.

Our new comprehensive accounting, recycling material management and work order system allows for the creation and customization of reporting information not commonly available by providers in our industry.

Customers already taking advantage of the system are thrilled to learn that we can deliver site level waste and product specific recycling information for multi-location businesses. When requested we’re able to show specific recycling related information such as tonnage and rebate dollars generated at each facility for the specified materials. How does this benefit the customer? This reporting ability allows customers to track the lowering and transfer of waste costs into revenue producing recycling programs. In addition, this detailed reporting allows customers to show to the business community and public, how their company is making improvements that have measurable results to improve the environment through positive environmental corporate stewardship.

This comprehensive approach allows our customers to make use of and handle modifications at the site level plus associate costs with particular lines of business. These additional layers of information permit them to reconcile costs on the back end and produce a more reliable P&L for their business.

Customizations to the reporting can be made on a company by company basis, allowing for service level data, equipment descriptions, and a break down of invoicing. Facility and recycling details can also be provided if desired. Along with more detailed reporting comes more flexible billing options, too.

If you’ve not already had the opportunity to experience our new approach to invoicing, reporting and overall accountability, please contact Matt Stien to schedule a review.
